Training
All USI crews have team members who have experience in
carpentry, plumbing, masonry and low voltage lighting systems.
This is essential because Landscape Installation covers so many areas of expertise. Our Installation crews do it all from building
stone walls, irrigation, and installing low voltage lighting to building outdoor garden structures.
Certification:
All USI employees participate in on-going training programs for maintenance and Landscape construction taught by our Senior Management. In addition many of our workers have become Certified in their areas by attending classes and gaining practical experience from our affiliation with organizations such as the New Jersey Nursery and Landscape Association and the New Jersey Turf Grass Association.
New Employees:
Prospective USI employees are interviewed with the goal to determine how much experience and knowledge they have acquired in Lawn Maintenance or Design and Construction. Each qualified new employee is teamed with an experienced Technician who they will work with to learn the procedures and standards that USI has developed. Our goal is to promote from within the Company, it is the basis of our success.
New Equipment:
With every new piece of machinery that is acquired, a member of the Senior Management Team or Vendor Representative conducts mandatory training through the use of training videos and practical training in a safe environment. Safety is the number one priority for not only the Operator but for the Grounds Crew as well
Pesticide Training:
USI only permits licensed applicators or supervised apprentices to make any pesticide application. They must pass the State Exams and receive on-going training. USI's applicators are licensed in multiple categories of expertise and comply fully with the current Pesticide Laws in the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Whether they are treating Turf, Trees and Shrubs, Indoor Plants or Household pests, safety is always the priority for our clients as well as themselves. |
